Rhodsey runs into 4th Ironman Champion title

Bryan Rhodes and Belinda Granger won the 26th running of Subaru Ironman Canada in Penticton, British Columbia today. blueseventy’s Rhodes had to dig deep during the marathon to claim his fourth Ironman title, while Granger cruised to her third Ironman win of this year.
For Rhodes the victory was a long time coming - this was the second Ironman race of the Kiwi’s career, and he lived here in Penticton for three years. Three times he’s finished in the top five. In 1999 he was part of a three-man battle that saw himself, Shingo Tani and Chuckie Veylupek finish within 45 seconds of each other. In other words, he’d done just about everything but win this race. This year it was his though. Congratulations Rhodsey!
